Longer fork blades accommodate ’cross tire clearance with 700c wheels and mud clearance. This did not present a problem when I put a 700c wheel with a 40mm tire into the OB1 fork.

If you are inspecting brakes on a vehicle, don’t assume rust and corrosion are normal. Take time to look at the critical areas like the brake lines, and pull the caliper to look at the brake pads to make sure the corrosion has not attacked the area where the friction material attaches to the backing plate.

So far my truck has been great. I hope it continues. Are there things I wish were better yes. Are they anything to complain about. No as they were there when I bought it.

There are several places where it can find some improvement, though. The biggest key is to go for a 4.0 amp hour battery pack to extend the runtime. I’d also like a lock on switch for those times where I’m using the HydroShot continuously for more than a couple of minutes. Time will tell is the amount of plastic on the tool is an asset or a liability, but for now, it seems appropriate for the job it does.

Additional Notes: Built and priced much more like a plunge-cutting track saw built for accuracy than a general construction or framing saw. Intended to do the work of a circ saw, miter saw, and table saw for carpentry and basic trim work. Made in Germany–the only saw in the test not made in China.

When I first tested the full category of cordless circ saws a decade ago, 18-volt saws didn’t match up to the task of general construction site cutting. A decent trim saw or two revealed themselves in that voltage, but it took 28- or 36-volt saws to handle framing materials. This made up only a few of the available tools in total.
